In the absence of a vaccine, the contagiousness of SARS-CoV-2 virus is a matter of primary concern. COVID-19 pandemic continues to spread across the length and breadth of the world. The use of an ancient, time-tested formulation for nasal cleansing could play an important role in mitigating the contagiousness of SARS-CoV-2 by inhibiting the multiplication and shedding of the virus in the nasal epithelium.
